(1) Within the scope of its statutory purposes, the Ilanga Sonnenkraft für Afrika association promotes the construction of new photovoltaic systems in African countries, in particular for sustainable energy supply, reduction of CO₂ emissions, and strengthening of local structures.
(2) Existing photovoltaic systems that have already been constructed or commissioned, as well as projects that were started before a written funding commitment was made, are not eligible for funding.
(3) Funding is based in particular on the expected CO₂ savings, the planned output of the system, the local benefits, and other ecological, social, and economic criteria.
(4) The funding criteria, funding amount, application and review process, and required documentation are determined by the board of directors. The board of directors is entitled to adjust these criteria at any time.
(5) Funding is provided exclusively within the scope of the financial resources available to the association.
(6) There is no legal entitlement to funding, even if all funding requirements are met. The decision on funding applications is the responsibility of the Executive Board and is made at its discretion.
(7) The recipient of a grant undertakes not to apply for or accept any further grants, subsidies, or financial support from third parties for the subsidized photovoltaic system, unless the Executive Board expressly approves an exception in writing.
(8) The recipient agrees that photos of the subsidized photovoltaic system and a factual description of the project (e.g., location, system size, purpose) may be published by the Ilanga Sonnenkraft für Afrika association for documentation, information, and publicity purposes, in particular on the association's own website and in association media.
